Heavy Equipment Training
The heavy equipment program is designed to provide 80 hours, 120 hours, or
160 hours of practical experience in order that the student become knowledgeable
in the operations of that equipment. Operation skills can only be learned and developed in the field.
Each student will recieve a diploma upon completion of the heavy equipment, with hours
training certified on it.

What this means to you
The 2 week course is an 80 hour course with training on backhoe, and bulldozer.
The 3 week course is a 120 hour course with training on backhoe, bulldozer, and grader.
The 4 week course is a 160 hour course with training on backhoe, bulldozer, grader, and trencher.
The $100.00 registration fee is non-refundable.
The Equipment
The Bulldozer is a John Deere 450D model, with a six-way blade, on tracks.
The Backhoe/Front End Loader has an option of a JCB or Ford model, one is a 2-stick operation,
the other is a 4-stick operation, a joy stick for the front end loader, and runs on tires.
The Trencher is a Vermeer model, with a six way blade, small backhoe assembly, and runs on tires.
The Grader Is a Huber model.
We also have a Trojan articulated front end loader.
Entrance Requirements
The applicants must be at least 18 years old.
1. Hard Hat
2. Gloves
3. Steel Toed Shoes
4. Safety Glasses
5. Ear Protection
Pre-Trip
You will be shown the proper way to inspect the vehicle during your pre-trip inspection.
This will cover checking oil, grease zerks, tires/tread/tracks, etc. Anything that
might be a danger to the driver or the equipment.
Operation
You will shown how to safely operate the equipment, you will get
time on the different controls, and
shown the maneuverability of each piece of equipment.
